Further to recent requests here is a video of some superpower on the Pentewan Light Railway. Locos are Wrightlines Baldwin and Backwoods K1 Garratt. Scenic work has progressed a little since the last video: k1-garratt-on-the-plr
The video was taken on a CanonG11 and assembled with iMovie on a mac. All the sounds are from the locos [...]
A 0-6-2T Hunslet based on Leeds No 1 and Russell, built on a modified proprietary chassis with a scratchbuilt body and details.
This is the second KBScale brass kit I have made. The first one was the OMZ (also shown). This was made with the help of Bernard Daillant, Franck Tavernier and Bernard Junk. Franck Tavernier made the motor gear and I made the structure as best as I can. I’m not an expert, and the brass [...]
Here are a few shots of the scratchbuilt Manning Wardle taken just before she enters the paintshops. The loco is one of two built in Leeds in 1868 for the short F+B line, built the same year as a feeder and potential rival to the Festiniog. The little locos and the 6 carriages were destined [...]

Bernard has sent photos of his recently completed Deutz OMZ 117 kits from KBscale – one has been modified to represent an open cab version.
Here are some pictures of my K1 0-4-0 + 0-4-0 Garratt modelled (fictitiously) as it appeared on the Pentewan Railway (rebuilt 1′ 11½” in 1923) in Cornwall in the late 1950s, prior to rescue and eventual restoration by the WHR.
The model was built from a Backwoods Miniatures kit with various modifications which included DCC with [...]
